Welcome to Pilton Parish Church.

Pilton village nestles on the edge of the Mendip hills overlooking the Vale of Avalon and Glastonbury Tor. The parish includes the hamlets of West Compton and East Compton and the scattered homes and farms of Cockmill, Steanbow, Beardley Batch and Lower Westholme.

It is also host to the world famous Glastonbury Festival. The parish church of St John the Baptist is a beautiful medieval building open for all. It is the home of a welcoming regular congregation and widely used by villagers and others for special services, celebrations, concerts and exhibitions, as well as weddings, baptisms and funerals.
